Education may be the single most important factor in determining the future quality of life for our nation’s children.

Today, schools and teachers are pressed for the time, space, and resources needed to help all students succeed. While efforts to narrow achievement gaps are diverse and widespread, debate continues in districts, universities, and legislatures about what constitutes the right mix of administrative structures, school safety, teacher pay and evaluation, student testing, curriculum, and instructional approaches that will most benefit students. More information is needed about what policies and interventions, among the myriad proposed, are most effective at closing achievement gaps and improving student performance.

CRESP maintains a strong focus on K-16 education and seeks to apply learning from local and national studies to inform policy decisions for positive change and student growth.
